Graduation Sunday 2012

The Class of Twenty12 is winding down the last days of their high school career.  June 3rd we will recognize all of the graduating seniors during the 11:00 am service.

The student ministry department will be hosting a special lunch for all 2012 high school graduates and their parents.  The luncheon will begin following 11:00 am service in the Studio.  Each graduating senior must be registered to participate in this special day by Sunday, May 27.  We do need photos of seniors (graduation, baby and a couple (4-5) other pictures of them growing up for a special presentation).

Faith Force

March 29-April 1 FAITH FORCE is coming to our county.  Faith Force is a team of world-class athletes who use feats of strength to convey a world-class message. Our athletes come from various backgrounds including: martial artists, bodybuilders, power-lifters, football players, world’s strongest man competitors, law enforcement officers, soldiers and even “American Gladiators”. The athletes perform amazing and exciting feats of strength, including some only seen at Faith Force crusades, in order to draw massive crowds of unchurched people.  These guys will be in our local schools doing assemblies throughout the day and at night invite the students to The Lamb’s Chapel to hear the Life Changing Message of The Gospel.  Begin praying now that God would move and do a mighty work in our students’ lives.  If you would like to help out with this team while they are here please contact the church office.

The Super Bowl????

It doesn’t really matter… this just gives us an excuse to get together, hang out, watch some football, eat wings and laugh at the commercials.

Sunday night, February 5, 2012 we will gather for a night of fun. We will have our halftime football game and also our NFL quiz challenge. This will be a great night to invite your buddies to watch the game on the BIG SCREEN!

All Guys: Bring Something Salty & Your Favorite 2 Liter Drink

All Girls: Bring Something Sweet  & Your Favorite 2 Liter Drink

We will start at 6:00 pm and we will end at 10:00 pm. Wear your favorite team color or jersey!

Prizes will be awarded at random for whatever we deem prize worthy!

Open Mic Night!

Open mic night is Wed. Jan 25^th during regular service time (7:00 PM). This night is for  anyone who has a talent that they wish to display for our student ministry to do so! Students can do whatever they wish – play an instrument, sing a song, dance, share a poem or a message from God. This will be an exciting night, but make sure that you sign up in the Studio beforehand so that we know what you wish to do. The deadline to signup is Sunday, Jan. 22.

FALL HYPE

Calling all students! December is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing – FALL HYPE! We are looking forward to an awesome weekend retreat, December 2-4.

This years retreat is at Watermarks Camp. Located in the hills of Virginia, Watermarks offers an opportunity to get away from the pressures of everyday life, challenge ourselves spiritually, and have a unforgettable retreat experience!

Students in grades 7 — 12 will enjoy comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, uplifting praise & worship, and relevant Bible teaching. During our retreat we will stay in cabin style rooms. Each room is equipped with air conditioning/heat and bunk beds.

Activities will include late night games as well as ropes course, 600 ft Zip Line, rock wall, human foosball, fishing, batting cage, rifle/archery range and many more things. Also you will have the option of choosing to play paintball for an extra fee. 

This will be awesome weekend you do not want to pass up! Amazing worship, crazy games and a few surprises you do not want to miss. All of this for only $90 per person. Come hang with us and have a blast!

$30 Registration fee holds your spot (space is limited). All money is due by December 2, 2011.

Resonate – Parent Meeting

Parents, I know you are excited about a semi-normal schedule with school back in session.  I want to invite you to come find out what is taking place in our student ministry.

 

On Sunday, September 18, at 5pm, we will be meeting together to go over our student ministry opportunities and plans.  We will finish our day by worshipping with each other in the Studio as we conclude our BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH!

 

 

 

 

Back 2 School Bash

Back to School? – WOW!  Where did the summer go?  Regardless, school is back in and the students are already looking for a break.  Enter the BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH!

 

The TLC Student Ministry is hosting a party on Sunday, September 18, at The Lamb’s Chapel to celebrate the blues of going back to school.  We will have music, food, frappacino’s, rock wall, obstacle course and a couple of other surprises.

 

The day will begin at 3:00 pm and run until 7:00 pm and is open to all students in 7th-12th grades.  The cost is FREE!

 

You will not want your student to miss this day – lots of free stuff and surprises.  Sign up in the Studio if you are planning on attending.
